Biggest Waffle to Date

John Kerry's choice of John-John Edwards as his running mate probably represents Kerry's biggest flip-flop to date. It was only 5 months ago that John Kerry criticized Edwards for his lack of experience.

In one quote, Kerry said of Edwards, "this is not the time for on-the-job training in the White House on national security issues."

In January, Kerry said, "In the Senate four years, and that is the full extent of public life, no international experience, no military experience, you can imagine what the advertising is going to be next year,"

Kerry also made a statement questioning whether Edwards was out of diapers by the time John Kerry had returned from Vietnam.

In only 6 months, John Edwards now has the experience he needs to handle national security issues?

We are not hiring a new CEO here. We are talking about the most powerful man on the planet - The President of the United States of America. If John Kerry were in the White House and something happened to him, could you really see John-John Edwards leading the country? Could you see John-John leading us through an event like September 11?

No.

If I were Kerry I would've chose Evan Bayh or John Breaux to moderate my image and balance the ticket ideologically. Edwards has great hair but we'll see how well he wears given his thin experience and his trial lawyer background.
